The Buzz Word is 'Recycle'

The mission of the Office of Solid Waste Management and Recycling is to encourage and expand recycling, waste diversion and reuse programs and promote efforts to decrease the amount of waste produced on the Georgia Tech campus in order to ultimately reduce the amount of waste Georgia Tech landfills. To meet this goal, recycling programs have been initiated in the academic buildings, general campus and residential housing.

If you have questions or concerns about any recycling program, please contact us at 404-385-0088 or email us at . You may also contact Cindy Jackson at 404-894-2004 or email her at .

GA Tech's Recycling Department Wins National Award

Recycling Team

GA Tech's Office of Solid Waste Management and Recycling (OSWM&R) recently won the 2008 American Forest and Paper Association's (AF&PA) College and University Paper Recycling Award. Manager Cindy Jackson traveled to New York in March to accept the award during the AF&PA's 131st Annual Conference. Key to the department's winning program is the comprehensiveness of the program since it collects all grades of paper, and its interaction with internal and external groups.
