The Georgia Tech Office of Solid Waste Management & Recycling is in need of a student assistant to work full-time during summer semester. This is a paid position. Duties include data entry, compile recycling statistics, generate reports, create presentations, answer phones and assist with administrative and clerical work. Assist with planning and implementing waste diversion and recycling initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Computer and social media skills are required. Applicants must have an interest in the environment and sustainability issues. Prior work with nonprofit or community organizations is a plus.

Silver Leaf Certification is an initiative of SGA's Sustainability Committee that aims to identify, promote, and incentivize student organizations that are sustainable in their operations. This certification is designed to encourage all of the student organizations chartered by the Student Government to adopt regular recycling habits.
The Silver Leaf Certification represents a commitment to increased recycling, reduced waste and a greener campus. It allows student organizations to distinguish themselves on campus in a way that adds to their brands.
