Access to the Wreck Lot 
A permanent roll off is located inside the wreck lot for the disposal of bulky items ref. Roll Offs Accepted Items. The wreck lot is kept locked. In order to access it you need to call either 404-894-2004 or 404-385-0088.

Refrigerators
The OSWM&R will pick up household refrigerators for a charge of $ 35.00. NO commercial refrigerators. The refrigerator must be EMPTY. Call either 404-894-2004 or 404-385-2007 to schedule a pick up. DO NOT place a refrigerator inside or beside a dumpster.

Temporary Roll Off Container  
To order a temporary container for an organizations exclusive use go to www.recycle.gatech.edu , then Fraternity & Sorority Services, click on Temp. Container Order Form. The organization is responsible for contacting Parking if any parking spaces are going to be used in the placement of the container. The organization ordering will be charged.

Homecoming  
Wreck vehicles: Before Homecoming all of the vehicles in the wreck lot must be removed. Any vehicles left in the lot will be disposed of at the IFC’s expense. After the Wreck parade all vehicles must be returned to the lot within 48 hrs.
Float debris – After homecoming temporary roll offs will be brought on campus for the disposal of the Greek communities float debris.

Student Move-In and Move-Out
At the beginning of Fall semester and the end of Spring semester temporary roll offs will be placed in the Greek community for the disposal of bulky items ref. Roll Offs Accepted Items.

Recycling 
The following items can be recycled at the East Campus Main Drop Off site at the corner of  6th St. and Techwood  Dr.: Glass ( clear, brown, green ), plastic bottles, newspaper, aluminum cans, magazines, mixed office paper. Cardboard can be left beside the dumpster. It MUST be broken down flat.

 

Dumpsters 

1. General household waste must be bagged and secured.

 2. Yard waste must be bagged and secured.

3. The following items CAN NOT  be placed in a dumpster: cardboard, couches, chairs, tables,  carpet, tree branches, car parts, construction materials, desks, dirt, sand, hot coals, bed frames, mattresses.

Roll Offs

  1. Accepted items: furniture, carpet, mattresses, dirt, tree branches ( maximum 4 ft. ), sand.
  2. NEVER place the following items in a roll off: electronics, metal, refrigerators, used oil, flammables, fluorescent  tubes, paint/solvents, propane tanks, car batteries.
